These two categories are broad classes of search engine optimization or SEO techniques and they are called on site and off site categories. This article concentrates on both in order that one should know exactly what each one entitles. These two categories are the two main ways and one can rightly say that the offsite methods of SEO are quickly overtaking the legacy ways of putting a website on the internet.
Method 1 - On site optimization
On site methods refer to the different ways to enhance web presence and these are carried out directly on the website which one desires to have promoted. The first way in the onsite method of search engine optimization is to use key words that will direct a search to this particular web site. Usually these web links are provided on other websites and they lead a customer to this page when the links are clicked. Initially, these were not monitored by Google when they displayed search results. Of late, Google has taken to keeping account of the number of back links to a page and these help on proving the popularity of a web site based on the amount of traffic directed into this parent web site from other websites. This is a powerful method of offsite marketing to a particular page and one can never pay it down if he wanted a high Google ranking.
