A New Way Of Life Using Mind Over Matter

The expression 'mind over matter' promotes the belief that the human mind is the most powerful force in the universe.
Hence, basic concentrations, will power for self improvement, bearing extreme pain to moving physical objects with your mind all fall under the purview of this.
Psychokinesis refers to the ability of moving objects physically with the power of one's thoughts. Thus, as a concept it is closely associated with the phrase 'mind over matter' and infact can be said to imply one of its extremes.
First coined as 'Telekinesis', the reason behind such paranormal activity was thought to be due to the workings of spirits and ghosts. When later on parapsychologists studied and experimented to find the presence of human mind as the reason behind the same, the word psychokinesis was coined.
Depending on the measurement of such phenomena, there exits two categories to this phenomena. One is micro psychokinesis where the changes in the movement are too minute to observe without use of scientific instruments while macro psychokinesis is bigger movements in objects which can be seen by ordinary eyesight.
Going beyond this extreme aspect of the idiom 'mind over matter' and coming down to more mind centric approaches of the same as found in the subjects of philosophy or spirituality, it may be said that it finds extensive usage in concepts like responsibility assumption.
This essentially refers to taking of the responsibility of one's life and future in his own hands thereby proposing that what happens in a person's life is solely a function of his mind and its thoughts.
Recent spiritual awakening in the last decade also has laws such as Laws of Attraction, etc talking in the same direction.
The law of attraction states that if your mind focuses its attention on an object of desire and truly believes that it will come true with constant visualization of the final achieved state along with constant affirmation to the subconscious mind, then your mind power will affect the cosmos and ultimately result in the manifestation of the object of your want in reality.
Psychokinesis has countless claimants who are alleged to be able to demonstrate such abilities.
Martin Caidin , the author of the 1972 novel 'Cyborg' claimed to be able to cause movements in "energy wheels" kept on single or multiple small table tops with the power of his mind.
Other names include Uri Geller, an Israeli who was known for his spoon bending techniques as well as Nina Kulagina who demonstrated psychokinesis in short black and white films.
Felicia Parise again was another person worthy of mention who became quite a celebrity for her powers in psychokinesis. An American laboratory technician by profession, she was able to move matters like compass needles, pill containers and aluminum foil with her mind. In the beginning such abilities came to her spontaneously but inspired with Nina Kulagina's films, she used intense focus and concentration to develop the powers to work at her will.
Infact, she was also tagged as America's first to move matter with mind in the tabloid National Enquirer. She retired from such performance when allegedly such demonstrations caused her bodily stress.
Going to remote corners of the world now where such scientific documentations have not been possible mention may be made of the Great Himalayan mountain range in India, Nepal and Tibet, famous in the world as the most spiritual site and a seat of immense positive powers. The sadhus and monks leave all worldly possessions and reside in such places to master complete control on one's mind.
India is known for its world famous holy pilgrimage named Kumbh Mela (Annual), Ardha Kumbh Mela (once in six years) and Purna Kumbh Mela (Once in 12 years) where such special souls come down to the holy river Ganges where feats such as the psychokinesis can easily be seen by everybody.
A belief in the phrase 'mind over matter' and a sincere effort towards developing the inner faculties that you are born with as a human, gives you the opportunity to create, control and change your life in the way you want and use the power of concentration, faith and true belief in creating your own destiny.
