Depending on your campaign, and the viral nature you want, you will have to produce some legendary value in order for people to take it and run. There is a directly proportional relationship between solid value that is even unique and the propensity for people to advertise it for you. We always believe that the person who is willing to do more, work harder and offer more will go farther
in business. You need to start devising your plan or your strategy from ground up so that you don't have to push in the value into your offer later on. While you generally do not want to put a huge amount of time into anything you are unsure of, you can still make a good effort and do a small test. Always track everything you do with your campaigns because that is the only thing that will give you any intelligent feedback about your efforts. Put in considerable effort to provide as much value as you can without losing your focus on the speed of execution.

Let it run until you are comfortable with the metrics you are gathering from your tracking efforts. No business hits a home run every time they roll out a product, so accept that and learn. The nature of viral campaigns are such that discovering the exact cause for failure is not always possible. So then you learn what you can and move on to the next order of business. Besides this, you should try the 'wash and repeat' approach for a campaign that actually made it big. It is interesting trying to determine why some campaigns succeed and others do not, but we feel it is important to discover why that happened.

Just remember that viral campaigns can be made of almost anything, and it is emotional content that gets the job done.
