First of all, you should listen to her when she talks to you. She may give some verbal clues, such as talking about your future together or talking about having kids with you. If she seems excited or like she is expecting something, it may be a sign that she thinks you may be going to propose. If she is expecting this then chances are that she is on the same page you are. Whenever you are out and about and she wants to take a look in the jewelry store, this can be a sure sign. Pay careful attention to what she is looking at. She might be trying to hint at the type of engagement ring that she is looking for. Reading bridal magazines can also be a sign that she is considering marriage.
As you can see, there are several signs that can help you to tell if your girlfriend is ready to get engaged. You will want to make sure that you pick up on all of her clues- subtle or not. If you sit around waiting, she may think that you are not interested in spending the rest of your life with her. If she is in fact the one, then you will want to make sure that you let her know.
