Donating a car to charity is a beautiful thing to do. When you donate car, truck, or s u v you help the charity, receive a valuable tax deduction and get a sense of pride knowing you have helped someone. There are many New Jersey Charities you can help with your car donation. n The New Jersey Association of the Deaf helps to promote the welfare of the deaf in education, employment, legislation, etc. They continue to work to remove communication barriers for the deaf. n Teach for America works to ensure that children growing up in poverty get an excellent education. They recruit leaders who work to expand educational opportunities and teach for two years in low income communities. They service the greater Camden and Newark areas of New Jersey. n For over 35 years, 180 Turning Lives Around has been dedicated to domestic and other abuse in Monmouth County. They provide shelter and housing, crisis services, support and counseling, and court assistance to abuse victims as well as advocacy, education, prevention and outreach. n Based in New Jersey, the TropicalClinics Medical and Education Center provides vital life saving medical care to women, children and their families in Africa. Their first clinic is in Kenya where they also provide prenatal care in an effort to prevent pregnancy related deaths. In addition, they are providing eye and dental care in an area of the world where these kinds of services are virtually unheard of. n The Arc of Atlantic County has been working for over 40 years to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. They offer residential services, recreation, vocational services, case management, summer camping, etc. n The Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation supports research for the study of early onset bipolar disorder. Through their efforts, they have compiled the largest clinical database in the world of children with, or at risk for bipolar disorder. Researchers are using this data in studies in many fields of medicine to help find better screening methods, treatments and a cure for juvenile bipolar disorder. n Since 1935, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties has been providing food to children, the disabled, the elderly and the working poor. Each year, they supply over 7 million pounds of food to 127,000 people through 260 food pantries, soup kitchens and other programs. They do it with the help of 1,000 volunteers along with donations of food, money and cars from the public. n Cars4Charities is proud to handle the car donations for each of these charities. You can help to support any of these exceptional New Jersey charities when you donate car you no longer use. Your car does not have to start. You just need to have a valid title and have the car in a place where a tow truck can reach it. Your car will be picked up fast and free. Once it is sold, the charity will receive the proceeds from the sale. For complete details on how to donate your car, please go to cars4charities.org or call them toll free at 1-866-4483487.
